Putnam County Clerk of Superior Court Trevor Addision is asking all veterans of military service to make sure their DD-214 is recorded at the courthouse. The DD-214 should have been recorded at the time of the service member’s discharge from the military.
“I have discovered that many veterans did not have their DD-214 recorded, or many recorded it elsewhere. If you are now living in Putnam County, then bring it by my office and I will record it in our records. If there comes a time you need a certified copy, then I will be able to provide one for you and it will not be necessary to send to another town or state to obtain the record. This is a free service to all veterans. Thank you for your service to our country.”
